You probably know the Twelve Days of Christmas. But do you know the twelve ways of opening the Legacy Shores gate? You can try singing this but I think it might be a huge waste of your time.
12 - Call the gate control number
11 - Text "open" to the gate control number
10 - Use the app
09 - Personal gate keypad access code
08 - Receive call from gate keypad directory and then press "1" on your phone
07 - Knox key for fire department and first responders
06 - Yelp siren for emergency equipment
05 - Key fob transmitters for $40.00
04 - Photocell sensor to avoid gate closing on cars and pedestrians
03 - Just drive slowly to the gate when leaving and be sure to stay on the right side
02 - Scheduled holiday, special events and daily timers
01 - Battery backup latches open when the power goes out

Notice Of Annual Meeting
On behalf of the Legacy Shores Property Owners Association and pursuant to Article II, Section 8, of the Bylaws, you are hereby notified that; The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Legacy Shores Property Owners Association is to be held on Monday, January 19th, 2026, at 7:00 PM EST at the Vonore City Hall, 613 Church St, Vonore, TN 37885. Please submit any questions in advance of this meeting to LegacyShoresBOD@gmail.com.
Gate Procedures & Keeping Safe!
All residents have a gate code and remote access using your phone. Even if your forgot your phone, the gate will open with your code. Let the gate admin know of any issues with the gate or your code. Stay safe and never attempt to disassemble the gate which is very dangerous and can cause personal injury. Avoid any fines and paying for gate damages by following this simple rule. Keep your code in your vehicle so it is always available and never disassemble or manually override the gate.
Gate Holidays, Special Events & More
Our gate will remain closed during Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day Off. You will be notified by email if there are any Special Event timers set or any issues with normal operations. Construction is only allowed during normal open gate hours.

Meet Our 2026 Legacy Shores POA Board of directors
Dennis Hanke
I've been working with the board since we were given control in 2021. I was involved in the transition of the POA transfer with Booker. I'm looking forward to working toward the completion of several of the projects our current board has in process including road repairs, finishing and upgrading the 19 acre land purchase, and the completion with our committee and Lawyers on the revision of the neighborhood covenants which will remove Tennessee Land and Lakes and place total control in the hands of our POA. Our current board has the same goals as me to make improvements here in Legacy shores and keep current assessments from going up. My background is in construction and construction equipment sales which has helped with some of the items were tackled in the past couple years.
Brad Kamber
Randi and I have enjoyed our gated lakeside community since we first moved to Vonore in 2010. Prior to the management company transferring control to the property owners, I attended and documented their meetings and distributed these notes to the POA. With your support, I was able to continue this by being elected to the board and focus on taking and distributing monthly meeting minutes, decision making in the best interest of all Legacy Shores, ensuring that assets are used carefully and cautiously, and compliance with our CC&Rs and Bylaws. With an IT and Software Engineering background, I also focused on initial setup, administration and maintenance of our Summit Control gate software supporting 230+ gate users, administration of our 24x7x365 NVR CCTV security cameras, our cloud based voting platform used for elections, our shared cloud drive for board documents and files, our Legacy Shores Board email address, and building and deploying our Legacy Shores website. Randi and I enjoy our lake, nature, exercise, reading, restaurants, family, travel, technology, most pets, a warm fire, music, concerts, trying to play the ukulele and being married for 48 years (to each other). Oh, and long walks on the beach. We are grateful for your help and support.
Larry Doran
I've been working with the board since we were given control in 2021. I was instrumental in working with Booker to get financial information to review to verify accuracy of financial statements. I am an Accountant/Auditor and was a Division Controller in a fortune 50 company when I retired in 2012.
Jim Holt
We have been proud owners in Legacy Shores for about 5 years and moved into our new home 2 years ago. I am committed to sustaining Legacy Shores as the premier hidden gem neighborhood on Tellico Lake, leveraging leadership skills developed throughout my military and corporate careers. I am particularly interested in enhancing community connections among both resident and nonresident owners and exploring opportunities for improving our recently acquired acreage for maximum owner enjoyment.
Colleen Oakley
I would like to join the Legacy Shores POA board because I love this neighborhood and I believe that I have a lot to offer. I am a pragmatic thinker and who has great problem-solving skills. I think strategically and try to view situations from multiple angles to get a good understanding and perspective. With a proven track record of creating a culture of cooperation, I value focus and efficiency. I have experience serving on a governing board and currently serve as the treasurer on a national post-acute care nursing board, and would be delighted to serve on our POA board.
Doug Faragher
My wife Lou and I have lived in Legacy Shores since March of 2013. We moved from Cookeville, TN. We have both been involved in the neighborhood since taking up residence. Legacy Shores has been a lifetime dream of ours. Great neighbors, beautiful lake, and retired life. During the summer, you will find us on the lake or enjoying the view from our deck or dock. Lou and I invite everyone to stop by and say hi.
Scott King
Kathy and I have owned our lot since 2019 and have excitedly watched the neighborhood grow. We moved to TN from Ohio in June (when our house was finished). I am retired after working 35 years for Nestle Purina Petcare and have ample time to help our neighbors and neighborhood.
